Play FarmVille Off Facebook Over At FarmVille.com

Breaking news for you FarmVille fans! If you are one of the millions who have difficultly loading FarmVille within Facebook, and are tired of Bits the Cow getting lost in his travels (despite how cute he is!), you may want to considering trying Zynga’s new version of the game on its’ own webpage – FarmVille.com.

In beta, and so far being kept fairly hush-hush, FarmVille.com allows you to access your farm via Facebook Connect. Everything you normally see and have access to within Facebook is now available in a hopefully much more stable environment.

We’ve tested the web based version ourselves, and so far it seems much faster and crisper. However, it remains to be seen if this badly desired stability will be permanent once the masses converge onto the site.

Take a peak:

As you can see above, you have full access to your neighbors, gifting, invites, and of course buying $FV. The only portion of the game not yet integrated is the gifts you have received, yet not accepted, still sitting in your Facebook Requests.

One new added feature is a FarmVille Game Feed that sits beneath your farming platform. Now you can instantly see all FarmVille related posts that would normally appear in your Live Feed.

I personally have felt that the intended quality of Zynga games far surpass the norm in social media entertainment. In my humble opinion, they are using social media platforms such as Facebook, MySpace and Bebo, as an almost instant launching pad for the more lucrative web based/downloadable versions. With approximately 50 million active daily users of Zynga applications, almost anything they release will be an instant success.

Will we see more of our favorite Zynga applications turn web based? Almost undoubtedly we will…The new business model is a smart move on their part, and whether we like it or not, Zynga does not spend a small fortune developing games purely for our entertainment. They are a business first and in order to grow as such, this shift can only bring more value to us all.

I like playing this way. IUt is fasted, and you don’t have to put up with all that garbage from other games and people trying to sell stuff that nombards you on FaceBook now that they’ev “Improved” their page. BUT – there is a problem, and all my neighbors are having it. You are fine as long as you don’t leave the page. If you go to pick up gifts, etc, you lose this game feed and the only way to get it back is to log all the way out, then log all the way back in. With a big farm, you never get to play. There needs to be a way to restore the game feed when you leave for gifts, etc.

We have heard many other people claim they cannot receive the feed as well. If your sister can see it on your computer, its not your flash install. It’s a glitch.
