FALSE: Has Your Facebook Been Running Slow Internal Spybot Rumor
Most of you have probably seen the latest ‘pass-it-rumor’ circulating, telling us there is an internal spybot on our Facebook profile, which is supposedly making our computers slow. It goes something like:
ALERT ALERT>>>>> Has your facebook been running slow lately? Go to “Settings” and select “application settings”, change the dropdown box to “added to profile”. If you see one in there called “un named app” delete it … Its an internal spybot. Pass it on. =======> thanks to this message i realised it
This is NOT an internal spybot (here.
While there is nothing wrong with deleting it, it is also harmless to keep it, as it will simply disappear on it’s own shortly. However, there have been may reports of performance being improved once the culprit has been removed.

“unnamed app” is probably an API that has lost its map to the names database. In other words, it’s some little app, like one of the FB games, quizzes, etc., that a FB glitch caused to loose the “address” to its “name.” So you could kind of say it has amnesia and doesn’t know who it is. If FB is phasing out out something that affects where it is stored, that pretty much explains how it got glitched!
I like farmville but it s slow and frizes up . How can Ifix this problem?
Timmie, make sure you are using a browser such as Firefox or Chrome – it improves FarmVille.
I have firefox and mine freezes up all the time. My computer say’s firefox is not responding. Why is this? And why is facebook always out of sync and wanting to refresh. This is very aggravating
Try clearing your cache more often. I find it helps
