This sounds like a fun quest, but almost impossible to complete. I have many high level friends who can’t even get the first part of it just like me. It really is a hinderence that mules and horses cost horseshoes because although it is a popular game, i doubt many people spend their money on it. Especially since it is a limited time quest. Zynga should either make it easier to get horses and mules, and/or have the quest last longer than a week. For most of us, it is a waste of time since we can hardly get the manure collection even once, let alone 5 times just to go on to the next part.

Christina, there is a statement in the post that says you only need to collect the collection once. 1 Saltpeter is all you need to make 5 Fireworks

she’s right that they need to make the 4th of july event longer though. I’m finding it hard enough to get the 1 manure from a horse, then after that you have to get 5 cornbread, when it is a small chance to get that item from a crop that takes 12 hours to grow so you only get a few chances, with ribeye being difficult too, then it assumes your neighbours will have chickens and pumpkins, and then that you have enough neighbours to be able to grow eggplants/cotton.

I’ve gotten the final prairie patty (horse/mule) twice by using the animal boost on a horse

I’m on the 4th part only because my friends and I worked together to send items and have correct items for eachother, otherwise I wouldnt be this far, I dont have enough neighbors for the eggplant so I may have to stop here, plus the amt of days to harvest is not enough for the amount of time they have given us to complete all the quests

Chriss… have to ask; what animal boost are you talking about? I’ve been trying for two days to get something out of my or my neighbors horse and mules and I can’t find that last manure.

            Any tips are GREATLY appreciated

            Thanks!

It’s not as hard as you would think
First, it’s not that hard to get a prairie pile, if you use the right technique. You can go to a neighbour and feed his horse, then go home without feeding any other animals.Than you return to the same neighbour and feed it again, wich makes your chanses 5 times bigger.
Second, with one saltpeter and 5 fires you ca make 5 fireworks, so you have to complete the collection only once.

I could’ve completed the collection 3 times ^_^ but I gave it to my other faithful neighbors. I’m working on the last cornbread right now then I’ll move onto the tedious chickens and such.

I hope it pops up before the partying is over.

I emailed Zynga and they told me my problem was that I had 4 active quests, and you cannot have more than 4. Unfortunately I have not seen any groundhogs in several days, and basically all the 4 quests I have open are proving impossible to complete. Oh well, I dont have any horse poop either despite hours of trying. They claim once I finish a quest I *SHOULD* get the 4th of july one. …

If you want to find groundhogs, plant potatoes. They are designed to be more prevalent when you plant them….

This is so rubbish. I have not had one 4th July quest. What is that all about. No wonder everyone is partying and I am not. Took me a while to figure this one out.

do they have to be done in the order that’s listed? do i have to make the fireworks first before anything else counts…such as the red and blue and etc?

    • Joanne Dolles says:

Everyone will get the order slightly different, except for the multi-part quests. If there is more than 1 step involved, you will receive those steps in order. In the case of the Party on the 4th quest, those need to be done in the order you receive them.

Now I am really hacked off. I *just* got the first quest only to find out that there are just 2 more days in this event AND one of the quests requires a crop that takes 3 days? This is STUPID.

    • Joanne Dolles says:

The event ends on the 8th, so you should have 4 days. As for the crops, if you neighbors water them, it counts as being harvested/tended. You don’t have to actually wait for the crop to mature if you can get enough neighbors to water them for you.

First, yeah, the time constraint isn’t really fair, considering what you have to complete.

HOWEVER, you can still get the Liberty Bell via the collection method… see the related post (below), but, it isn’t all that much easier if you are short on neighbors, and aren’t lucky….:

I still don’t have my 4th July quests. Although I am completing other quests daily I just keep getting new ones that are part 2 & 3 and no 4th July. This really sucks.
