FarmVille Barn Raising: Expand Your Storage!

We complained – Zynga listened! Well, at least about the lack of reasonable storage they did. As of an hour or so ago, FarmVille released the ability to host a Barn Raising; allowing you to increase the storage space in both your barns and your tool sheds.

Of interest to many as well, you will see in one of the pictures below that we will also be able to expand our Dairy Farms, Garden Sheds and….. Chicken Coops!

As you can see below, there are 3 levels to each expansion; giving you more room at each level. Here is what we know so far:

Barns:
Level 1 (Red Barn) – increases storage from 0 spots to 6 spots (your initial purchase)
Level 2 (Big Barn) – increases storage from 6 spots to 11 spots
Level 3 (Huge Barn) – increases storage from 11 spots to 18 spots

Tool Sheds:
Level 1 (Tool Shed) – increases storage from 0 spots to 2 spots (your initial purchase)
Level 2 (Big Shed) – increases storage from 2 spots to 7 spots
Level 3 (Huge Shed) – increases storage from 7 spots to 14 spots

To start a barn raising, simply click on your barn or tool shed and select Expand Storage. Select the building you wish to expand and it will post your Barn Raising event to your wall. Simply have 10 friends click the link within 3 days and voila! Your building is automatically expanded. Friends earn 100 coins for helping out, and you can watch your progress at any time by refreshing your farm and selecting the Expand Storage option again.

Please!! Post your link only ONE time. Duplicate posts will be deleted. This thread has over 1000 comments and I cannot keep up with the approvals.

As nice as it is, there is no need to reply to every persons link with a comment or a link to your own raising.

If everyone posts once and people help a large group of posts above them, this will work a lot smoother than it is now.

Thanks for understanding everyone!

Found out that once you’re storage is at 100, you are done and can’t expand any more.

I was at 100 before I went to upgrade my shed. I got a warning window saying I was at the max. I got to phase 2 of the shed and indeed, I did not get any more storage. I am maxed out.

I’ll still help anyone who posts, however.

Btw – I think I ended up with something like 10 chicken coops through all of this. Where am I going to put all of them?? LMAO!

      Done, Colleen.

Ok – to get chicken coops:

      1) move your coop to the top right corner of your farm

      2) expand a barn/shed

      3) when the barn/shed is done being “raised”, start the expansion on another one.

      4) Move the original chicken coop to another location. There should be at least one extra coop underneath it. I had as many as 3 extra at a time under mine.

      4) put the extra coops someplace on the farm and move your original back to the top right corner.

      5) Repeat process as many times as you can.

Once you expand your storage to 100, you can’t expand any longer. I don’t know if that will limit how many coops you can get though. I have a total of 9 chicken coops now. 4 hours ago, I only had 1.
