This sounds like a fun quest, but almost impossible to complete. I have many high level friends who can’t even get the first part of it just like me. It really is a hinderence that mules and horses cost horseshoes because although it is a popular game, i doubt many people spend their money on it. Especially since it is a limited time quest. Zynga should either make it easier to get horses and mules, and/or have the quest last longer than a week. For most of us, it is a waste of time since we can hardly get the manure collection even once, let alone 5 times just to go on to the next part.
Christina, there is a statement in the post that says you only need to collect the collection once. 1 Saltpeter is all you need to make 5 Fireworks
she’s right that they need to make the 4th of july event longer though. I’m finding it hard enough to get the 1 manure from a horse, then after that you have to get 5 cornbread, when it is a small chance to get that item from a crop that takes 12 hours to grow so you only get a few chances, with ribeye being difficult too, then it assumes your neighbours will have chickens and pumpkins, and then that you have enough neighbours to be able to grow eggplants/cotton.
I’ve gotten the final prairie patty (horse/mule) twice by using the animal boost on a horse
I’m on the 4th part only because my friends and I worked together to send items and have correct items for eachother, otherwise I wouldnt be this far, I dont have enough neighbors for the eggplant so I may have to stop here, plus the amt of days to harvest is not enough for the amount of time they have given us to complete all the quests
Chriss… have to ask; what animal boost are you talking about? I’ve been trying for two days to get something out of my or my neighbors horse and mules and I can’t find that last manure.
Any tips are GREATLY appreciated
If a friend and/or Jack has a mule or horse, and it’s ready, go click it on your visit. Then leave the farm – return – and you can click it again….multiply your chances greatly
It’s not as hard as you would think
First, it’s not that hard to get a prairie pile, if you use the right technique. You can go to a neighbour and feed his horse, then go home without feeding any other animals.Than you return to the same neighbour and feed it again, wich makes your chanses 5 times bigger.
Second, with one saltpeter and 5 fires you ca make 5 fireworks, so you have to complete the collection only once.
I could’ve completed the collection 3 times ^_^ but I gave it to my other faithful neighbors. I’m working on the last cornbread right now then I’ll move onto the tedious chickens and such.
I have managed to creat 10 fireworks but have not be given thequest to do so. How does this work.
Once the quest pops up for you, you will be given credit for your inventory.
I hope it pops up before the partying is over.
I emailed Zynga and they told me my problem was that I had 4 active quests, and you cannot have more than 4. Unfortunately I have not seen any groundhogs in several days, and basically all the 4 quests I have open are proving impossible to complete. Oh well, I dont have any horse poop either despite hours of trying. They claim once I finish a quest I *SHOULD* get the 4th of july one. …
If you want to find groundhogs, plant potatoes. They are designed to be more prevalent when you plant them….
For what it’s worth, I haven’t found a single damn groundhog in potatoes. Every one I have found has been in flax, corn or peanuts. I know Zynga says the groundhogs really like potatoes but that hasn’t been the case for me.
The quest is in roman numerals I II III V click on it after you do the fireworks its there Im on part 3 or 4 cant remember hope this helps.
This is so rubbish. I have not had one 4th July quest. What is that all about. No wonder everyone is partying and I am not. Took me a while to figure this one out.
do they have to be done in the order that’s listed? do i have to make the fireworks first before anything else counts…such as the red and blue and etc?
Everyone will get the order slightly different, except for the multi-part quests. If there is more than 1 step involved, you will receive those steps in order. In the case of the Party on the 4th quest, those need to be done in the order you receive them.
Now I am really hacked off. I *just* got the first quest only to find out that there are just 2 more days in this event AND one of the quests requires a crop that takes 3 days? This is STUPID.
The event ends on the 8th, so you should have 4 days. As for the crops, if you neighbors water them, it counts as being harvested/tended. You don’t have to actually wait for the crop to mature if you can get enough neighbors to water them for you.
First, yeah, the time constraint isn’t really fair, considering what you have to complete.
HOWEVER, you can still get the Liberty Bell via the collection method… see the related post (below), but, it isn’t all that much easier if you are short on neighbors, and aren’t lucky….:
Oh, and thank you Joanne for posting this thread…. You’re providing quite a service, and even though *some* people don’t seem to appreciate it, I certainly do.
just finished all four quests. there really nothing happens. u get little xp and coins :/
What the hell? The quest icon just disappeared recently…. Is it gone already? I thought we had until the 8th?
I still don’t have my 4th July quests. Although I am completing other quests daily I just keep getting new ones that are part 2 & 3 and no 4th July. This really sucks.
I’ve finished my manure collection and I didn’t receive nothing!!! None saltpeter!!! There’s anything that I can do?
Log out of FrontierVille and back in, and if it is still not there, I would contact Zynga support via
if you finished your manure collection and traded it in, you find your saltpeter in either the cabin or the barn (or whichever one of the buildings where you make the fireworks, I can’t remember exactly which building it is). But the saltpeter goes there…not into your inventory.
I got a pop up today saying it was the last day to complete the independence day collection and my last quest is not showing in the game any more. I thought this lasted until the 8th, does anyone know what’s going on with this?
I am not sure either.. It seems they may have typo’d the original details of the event. The photo I have posted in the thread clearly says it goes until July 8th…
I guess I’ll go ahead and harvest my cotton anyway, since it’s planted. It’s just bizzarre they’d say today is the last day and yet eliminate the quest thing at the same time. Maybe just the ID collection runs until the 8th? It’s still showing in my collections. Oh well, thanks for responding.
I’m very upset with Frontierville right now .. I had completed all the tasks for the Fourth except harvesting my cotton.. which will be ready in less than an hour and my task button has been removed .. what about my ribeyes and hams that I can be using for my school task .. so unfair. Took me forever to find out Prairie poop was from horses or mules because I ony had 1 neighbor that had any and they were never ready.. I finally lucked up and got one from Jack. If tasks are going to be this hard for us folks with small amount of neighbors I will have to give up.
I have a problem collecting the Prairie Pile! I got those three times from my neighbors and when I logged out from my account they disappeared! Is this normal since it`s 8-th of july? I even logged in and out several times, and they still not appear. What can i do?
1500 coins and 250 exp is the reward, image is a screenshot.
I had all of my quests disappear from my screen over a week ago, and still nothing. Contacted Zynga 4 days ago and they are “looking into it” Kind of pointless to play any more.
Here it is, mid August and I still have the 4th of July quest up. Rrgh. It won’t get off my screen. So I’m trying to complete it, hoping it’ll go away when I’m done.
every time i get priarie poop it says lets go trade it in so i do and then it disappears and i just don’t know what to do anymore i cant be bothered to play the game if it is just going to keep messing up. this is to all to complete the 4th july task which still hasnt gone away
sorry for the moan, hope someone can help xx
It is not messing up. If you trade it in, yes, it does disappear. That’s what trade in means. You’ve traded in the complete Manure Collection for 1 Saltpeter. The Saltpeter can be found in your Inventory and is used to make Fireworks inside your Cabin, using 5 Fire and 1 Saltpeter.
when ive traded in the collection i go to make the fire and i have no saltpeter so i went and looked in my collections and it said i didnt have any priarie manure when i did collect it. it has happened 3/4 times now x
